Men across the country and from a broad range of backgrounds posed for Irish photographer Owen McCann who was travelling in Iran. ‘There was an obvious language barrier,’ he says, ‘but I found them to be very gentle and shy. I didn’t detect any macho tendencies among the men I encountered which surprised me a little. They were especially meticulous regarding grooming and their general appearance.’
