Celebrating Norouz, the Iranian New Year, in Montreal, Canada.
The word Norouz (or Nowrouz) means “New Day” which is the first day of spring in Iran. During the two weeks holiday of Norouz, people either travel, or visit their family and friends to celebrate this traditional event.
Norouz is one of the main parts of the Iranian culture, while it is also appreciated in some other countries in Middle East, including Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Iraq, etc.
